Attendees are encouraged to make their room reservations as early as possible. Room reservations at the group rate are available on a first-come, first-served basis, while the MCAA’s room block lasts. After April 15, any rooms remaining in the MCAA room block, will be sold by the hotel  on a space available basis,at the prevailing market rate.

Call the hotel toll free at (number given) and identify yourself as attending the MCAA 2007 Annual Convention. You will be automatically added to our group room block and our group rate of $  plus 12.5 % tax.  A credit card is required to hold all reservations. You will be asked to confirm your departure date at the time of check-in, and in the event of an early departure without prior notice, a $50.00 fee (plus tax) will be applied to your final bill. Please remember that you are responsible for both reserving, revising or canceling your own hotel reservations, with the Portofino Bay’s reservation department. Individual’s eservations that are not cancelled within 48 hours of the Convention, will automatically be charged one room night and applicable tax .

Travel / Ground Transportation

The Orlando International airport is located approximately 25 minutes or 15 miles from the Portofino  Bay Hotel. MEARS TRANSPORTATION has been selected as the preferred vendor for Portofino Bay Hotel. MEARS counter’s are located on both Level I&II of the baggage claim area. No reservations are necessary upon arrival, for this shared-ride shuttle, which departs every 30-40 minutes from Level I. Airport shuttle pricing is as follows:

  • One way Adult Fare $15.00
  • Round Trip Adult Fare $25.00
  • One way Child Fare $11.00 (Ages 4-11)
  • Round Trip Child Fare $18.00
  • *Taxi fares-Approximately $35.00-40.00 each way.

 

Weather & Attire:

During the day the average temperature in Orlando is in the high 80’s and the evenings are in the low 60’s.

Casual resort attire is appropriate for all locations in the area and MCAA meeting functions. The final evening’s Annual Banquet is a slightly more formal event with business attire/jacket optional for the gentleman and cocktail attire for the ladies.
